Explain how people's differences in their definitions of success influence the way they lead their lives

          Success is important to everyone. Everyone wants to be success so they are trying hard to achieve it. We are surrounded by many examples of success. Johnny Depp , was a teenager who takes drugs, drink alcohol, and now he become a famous actor in Hollywood.  Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong, who hailed from China’s Fujian province, was forced to leave school at the age of 16, after his father died, and began selling vegetable seeds to support his family, was one of Malaysia’s wealthiest businessmen, is best known for turning Genting Highlands, a hill outcrop just outside the capital Kuala Lumpur, into one of the world’s most profitable casino resorts. According to Abraham Lincoln, “always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing” So what’s the role of success play in your life? How do success influence the way you lead your lives? Materialistic, power and puritan are the ways that influence people's success throughout their lives.  

          Most of the people want to success in materialistic success. They want to have lots of luxuries stuffs to make their life better and luxurious. Some of them love to buy luxuries stuffs to release their stress and enjoy the time of buying things they like, because having things we like can make us happier and also a prove that how hardworking we are. But there are also some of them who love to buy luxuries stuffs because they just want to show off that they can buy such expensive things and they think that having luxuries things will make them look more high-class and grand. Even there are some of them could not effort to buy luxuries things, but they still act like they can buy it and owe a lot of credit card payment. For example, women and girls loves shopping, but girls are always envy that women can buy lots of branded heels, clothes, bags and so on, but they could not effort to buy any of them. So they keep trying to be a woman who earn lots of money and buy what they want to achieve their materialistic success.

            Power success is another success which everyone trying to achieve it. It is because power can control another person, just like managers can control what they want their workers to do for them, and the CEOs can control the whole company workers to do anything they want. That is why many officers work so hard to become the head of a team or manager or even CEO, and so on, just to prove that they can do well in their jobs and they don’t have to obey to what their boss order them to do. Power and materialistic are almost the same, because they want to be the one who choose the final decision but the one want to have to accept the decision which they don’t want to accept.

            There are also workers who work so hard because they want to prove that they can do everything and they are worthy to stay in their job.  This kind of success is puritan, it is because they are having the same mindset with puritan, such as often raised in an environment where they had to continually prove themselves. They dare to do something they can’t do, because they want to prove that they are not useless.

            We should work harder and find our goal to being success, so that we can get what we really need and what we really want. Success can make different to a person’s lifestyle, also can increase our motivation to achieve our goal.
